bay of pigs

so i decided to hop on the internet band wagon. no, i didnt get a facebook, nor will i ever. no need to network with brock mcdonald or kyle scott. instead, i got a blog. i think it will be pretty useful for me since i am often away on trips with bands and such. i will be able to chronicle upcoming trips more thoroughly on here instead of trying to tell incoherent and broken stories with multiple pauses when i get home. i know that i am horrible at that. so here it is, my first ever blog.

as many of you know, my foot got run over by a jerk about a month ago. two broken bones and a lot of ligament damage later, i am stuck sitting here at home. many of you would love to be in the place that i am right now, but, alas, i fucking hate it. i like to move around, i actually like my job (most of the time anyway), so to sit around for three months isnt a choice i would of normally made.

was it an accident? no, it wasnt. did the cops come? yes, they did. did they do anything? no, they didnt.

go figure.

i love the province that i live in, but i seriously think our justice system is backyards. if not for the linguistic issues at the scene, would i of been treated differently? do we live in the 21st century? you would think that as the world becomes more of an open market for nearly everything (shopping, networking, population shifts, etc) that in a city such as montreal, everyone would be bilingual, especially the police. dont they have to take a fucking test for that shit?

on a personal level, i generally dont really like cops. ive seen them in their training at my old cegep, and thought they were jerks there. in my lifetime, ive met a couple of nice ones. the "accident" only furthered my hate for them. as hypocritical as it may sound, the only time i actually needed them to do something (well actually the third time, but im not going to get into that now), they failed me as a citizen. even with two witnesses (oh wait, they were english, i guess that doesnt count right?), they refused to take statements from our point of view. but the other party (mr. meathead), got to give his statement, all in the natural language of the land. how ironic is that?

in the end, i am just hoping for a little justice and for this meathead to not get away with it. he's probably still laughing with his buddies about the time he "ran over that stupid punk". if its either through the justice system or through a concoction of my own devices, he'll get his.

thats it for now, had to get that off my chest.
